Nikon camera suggestions?

Does anyone know of a professional nikon digital camera that doesn't have a replaceable lens? Replaceable lenses are nice and all but it's just not exactly continent or affordable. I know they exist cause a girl at my school has it. It doesn't need SLR.

What you're looking for is called a 'bridge camera'

Just to clarify, "professional" DSLRs start at several thousand dollars and always have an exchangeable lens. Not every DSLR would be considered a "professional" one either.

What do you mean by "professional"? All the professional cameras I know are DSLRs and upwards of a thousand dollars, and all DSLRs have interchangable lenses.

My guess is you mixed up your terminology and you're talking about a bridge camera, in which case you're looking at a camera like the Coolpix P100.

I have to emphasize though that this is in no way a replacement for a DSLR camera. It heavily lacks the versatility of a DSLR and its image sensor is nowhere near as good as that of a DSLR. This is simply a point and shoot with a bigger body and aperture/shutter speed manipulation thrown in. Don't expect DSLR quality out of this.

And personally, at this price, you might as well go with a DSLR. A refurbished D3000 only costs $30 more.
