My digital camera is wet what should i do?
My digital camera, a Nikon s220, got super wet while i was trekking in a tropical rain forest,
although i let it for dry and now the camera works, only problem is the screen goes completely white and little shades of color appears when i move my camera from light n dark areas, i can still take photos and zoom n all but screen won't display, should i go for repair or wait for the screen to dry out too? Its been 4days since its been drying out, also what the cost of the screen?
I don't know dry it? Lol
You need to try Silica Gel Packets. There was a good article on associatedcontent.com that explains how to dry an iPod, MP3 player, cell phones, or any electronics. You need to place your camera in a zip lock bag with Silica Gel Packets. Silica Gel will remove all the moisture from the phone and its components, something air drying will not do!
Just Google "Silica Gel Packets" and you will find several companies selling these products. There's also a web site called: http://www.SilicaGelPackets.com that has them.
