Which is a better lens? Nikkor 18-105 or sigma 18-200?
In terms of quality of photos, which do you think has a lot more to give?
The 18-105mm.
As a rule of thumb, the bigger the relative difference between the long and the short end, the worse the image quality. You pay for the convenience of the versatility with image quality, basically. The Nikkor 18-200mm appears to be a notable exception, it holds its ground surprisingly well.

Especially at the long end the performance of the Sigma lens is disastrous.
