What's the difference between these 2 cameras?
Nikon D5300 24.2 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera with 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR AF-S DX NIKKOR Zoom Lens (Black)
Between the Nikon D5300 24.2 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera with Built-in Wi-Fi and GPS Body Only (Black)
One comes with a lens and one doesn't.
They have different numbers.
Stan l is 100% spot on… You need a lens if you want to take shots… The 18-140 isn't a bad lens to start off with, you could look at the 18-55 or 18-105 if you are worried about your budget… The 18-55 is the standard starter lens these days, I prefer the 18-105 because it gives a decent range (and I work within that range a lot) you might not… The 18-140 gives more range again… Although a twin lens kit 18-55 with a telephoto zoom lens might suit you better.
You would be better to do some research before jumping in, perhaps grab a photography guide book from the local library and have a browse through it.
The Nikon 18-140mm is a mixed picture, as seen at
http://www.kenrockwell.com/...-140mm.htm
It is a more versatile zoom range than the 18-105mm, and i is better built. It has better sharpness than the 18-200mm. However, it has more distortion than the 18-200mm. A lot of people are favoring the 18-105mm for its better consistency of sharpness and milder distortion through its range. Many are very happy with the 18-140mm.
One is body only, one is body with lens. You can't take pics without a lens.
None.
The cameras are one and the same. The first one comes with a lens. The second one doesn't.
