What is better Sony or Nikkor (nikon) lenses?
I'm trying to decide what camera to get the lens differences may be the deciding factor. Are the basic Sony lenses as good as the basic Nikon lenes? Like will there be any difference in overall picture performance?
Of course not.
Sony lenses are descended from Minolta's Rokkors (the first generation of AF Minolta lenses were simply adaptations of their forebears), which were highly-regarded in the amateur market for decades.
Nikkors are good, but unless compared on an individual basis, the comparison isn't worth spit - more bad photos have been down to photographers than have ever been caused by kit.
