Any suggestions on this lens (Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD)?
I currently have a Nikon D5200 with the kit lens, and i'm looking to buy a new lens. I have a really limited budget and would really like a zoom lens (for sport photography mainly) I found this lens; Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD. I can get it for $160 where I live. I know it's a really small price for a zoom lens (any lens infact) and i know it has slow autofocus and no IS. But will it give me good results? Will it have the same sharpness as the 18-55 kit lens? And things i should know about?
DSLR Camera and lens compatibility?
I have a Nikon D5200
I was looking at the Nikon Nikkor IF 24-120mm f/4-22 SWM Standard Zoom Lens
It says it is AF-S on Silent mode, which I know AF-S is necessary for the D5200.
Question is, will this lens be compatible and work well with the D5200?
It is an FX lens, but it says it is compatible with DX as well.
I just want to know I'm not wasting money and dampen the benefit with some non-compatible qualities.
How much is this used lens worth?

Will non-Ai lenses allow TTL auto flash metering on Nikon F4?
I have original non-Ai Nikkor 20mm f3.5 UD and 50mm f1.4 S Auto. When I tried auto TTL flash on Nikon F4 with SB-22S, it was not firing. But it was firing in Manual mode. The flash icon inside the viewfinder was blinking continuously when in Auto TTL mode. What would be the reason? Does non-Ai lenses not support TTL flash feature on Nikon F4?

I dropped my AF-S DX NIKKOR G VR 18-55mm lens. Is it worth it to get it repaired?
When I attach the lens to my camera, it is open/not attached on the one side. The lens only focuses when zoomed in, and even then only focuses the one side of the image. When I shake it gently, I can hear a rattling, and when it's autofocusing it makes a crunching noise.
Should I just buy a new lens, or would it be worth it/cheaper to get it repaired?
