I have a nikon nikkor af 70-210 1:4-5.6 without a D. And i'm planning to buy a DSLR but i can't find information if its compatible with any NIKON DSLR. Can anyone help or redirect me to website please.thanks

Added (1). So manual focus would work? It would still fit any nikon dslr?

Yes, but it will only autofocus with a D90 or upwards. Entry level Nikon DSLRs will only autofocus with AF-S lenses (or their third party counterparts, such as Sigma HSM).

It's not a particularly valuable lens, i wouldn't base my choice of the camera body on it.

Autofocus on d80, d90, d7000 and better. Manual focus on D40/D60/D3000/D5000 and things like that.

It's a decent little lens, I like it but the current 55-200 VR is at least as sharp.
