How to unjam removable camera lens

I have a Nikon camera and the name of the lens is AF-Snikkor 18-55 mm and the zoom ring won't turn. It is stuck on 55-45. Please please please help! I need to fix it quick!

My advise is to bring it either back to the store or to the nearest authorized Nikon service center. Delicate matters such as that need professional service.
