Does the focus ring of the Nikkor 55-300 lens can be move manually?
Added (1). I just purchased this lens and it only rotates when is on Auto. I have another lens that is 18-108 and i can rotate the focus ring manually, but not the 55-300. I don't know what is going on.

If you move the autofocus switch to "M" (manual), then you should be able to move the focus ring. Otherwise, you might damage the internal gears that are locked to the ring during autofocus.
