Can I use modern nikkor lenses with my old nikon slrs?
Old Nikon = n65, fm10, fm3a, fm2
modern nikkor lenses = AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR, AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G
No.
The DX lens is designed for the smaller sensor of DSLR cameras such as the D40, D3000, D3100, D3200, D5100, D90, D7000. On a 35mm film frame the image circle will be far too small to cover the full frame, resulting in serious vignetting.
The 50mm f/1.8G lens doesn't have an aperture ring so there will be no way to control the aperture on your older film cameras.
While a DX lens will fit on your older cameras, you will get vignetting since the DX lenses only need to cover the DX sensor.
The 50 mm lens is an FX lens so will work fine on your N65.

Why bother?
The used market is full of superb glass at much lower prices. Also, G lenses won't work on the majority of your bodies because they don't have aperture rings.
The F65 (N65 in the US) takes modern lenses with full functionality, but vignettes with DX lenses.
