Is there any nikon camera from the beginning of time that shoots in black and white only?

I know that it depends on the film but was the coloured film discovered before the first Nikon camera?

Yes. Nikon didn't really get into building complete cameras until just after the second world war. Colour film as we know it now was brought on the market in 1936 by Agfa.

So, there's a little more than 10 years difference

The was film cameras long before Nikon.
The first Nikon was released in 1948, the Nikon I. It had a lot of problems with it, and was replaced the next year.

Of course. Any Nikon film camera can shoot b/w and any camera before color was invented all shot b/w.

1--In the beginning of time there were no people much less cameras

2--All early Nikon cameras (and most ever made) are 35mm cameras. 35mm cameras will shoot any kind of 35mm film you put in them so the camera you're looking for will not shoot "black and white only" but colour as well.

3--"Coloured" film was not "discovered," it didn't previously exist in nature, growing off of a Kodachrome tree at the end of a rainbow, colour film was INVENTED.

4--The Nikon I was Nippon Kogaku's first camera. It was released in 1948. Previously the company was known for its lens manufacturing, particularly as cheaper, sharper alternatives to Leica.

5--Agfa brought the first mass-produced colour film to the market in 1936.

So no, there has never been a Nikon camera that was built in a time when only b&w film was available or shot black and white images only.
