Is there an adapter that I can use for using older Nikon lens for my new DSLR camera?
If your new DSLR is a Nikon, then no adapter needed as the F-mount goes back 50+ years. Older Nikon lenses may not auto focus on your newer camera, depending on the model of the body and lens, but it is still functional in manual mode.
If your camera is some other brand, practically, you can't adapt your lens.
If you buy a Nikon dSLR, your old Nikon lenses will fit. You should at least buy from the D7x00 series to be able to use the lightmeter with the old lenses. If you buy lower, you will be left to your own wits (which is good if you are perfectly comfortable with that). The old lenses, if not autofocus, will only work in manual mode.
