Is there a place where I can buy the Canon G7x mark 2?

It won't let me add to cart on the best buy website, and it isn't in the store near me, on amazon it is a 100 dollar difference (if it comes down to it, I will cough up the extra money need be, but it is 780 on amazon, and 680 on best buy, there's an "international version" but I don't know what that means, like if it is a fake camera or something). Is there another store where I can buy it from that is trust-worthy and that has it in-stock?

Added (1). It is also on backorder on the canon website, any thoughts on when it will be back in stock?

Go to B&H's website: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/...video.com/" class='ext_link'>https://www.bhphotovideo.com/...video.com/c/search" class='ext_link'>https://www.bhphotovideo.com/...m/c/search? Ntt=canon+powershot+g7+x+mark+ii&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ps&typedValue=g7x (sold out as of this writing)

Adorama.com has them in stock- http://www.adorama.com/...7x+mark+ii

B&H and Adorama are highly reputable physical stores and websites serving most of the pros in this country. If they don't carry it, it probably doesn't exist.

All camera manufacturers produce models for specific regions of the world. They will have a US model which may or may not have the same model number. For example, the Canon T6 is for the US market, but the same camera in Europe is called the 1300D. When you see the term "international" this means that the camera was made for a specific market other than the one that it is being sold in. So if you buy a Canon T6 in the US, then it is not an international model, but it would be outside of the US.

So what's the big deal? Well, it is all about the warranty. If you buy the T6 in the US, you will have a one-year warranty that Canon will honor at any of their repair centers. But if you purchased the 1300D from a store or website in the US, then that camera would come with an international warranty. Canon USA does not honor any international warranties in the US. You would have to ship the camera to a service center in the country it was intended to be sold in. Nikon is the same way. I knew a guy who was looking at a Nikon F100. To save a few bucks, he bought the N100 (European model number) which is the same camera as the F100. When it broke a few months later, he shipped it out to Nikon in Los Angeles. Several weeks later he received it back unrepaired with a love letter from Nikon that stated that Nikon USA does not have parts for the F100. He ended up having to ship his camera back to Japan to get it repaired. And since he didn't buy the camera in Japan, Nikon in Japan didn't honor the one-year warranty either. So it's not always a good thing to buy a camera with an international warranty which is also referred to as gray market. Maybe still one here:

The "international" version of cameras don not have a US warranty or support. If something goes wrong with it, you must send to some overseas service center. Further, the manual might not be in English, although it's not hard to find the English version online. It's not always about getting the lowest price. It's about getting the best deal. Part of the deal is the peace of mind you get when the camera breaks down and you have the store to go back to to handle the repairs. That service do come with a price and to me it's all worth it.
