Is the Nikon D7500 waterproof?

Perhaps you're confusing the Nikon D750 (full frame camera that IS weatherproof) with the cropped sensor D7500?

The Nikon D7500 is NOT weatherproof or weather sealed.

If you google "Nikon D7500 weather sealing" you'll find that it *is* weather sealed (the Nikon site being the most authoritative). Please note that weather sealing is not the same as being waterproof though.

Note that "weather sealing" is not "waterproof". "Weather sealing" deals in general with a few drops of rain. If you want a camera to record swimming and diving activities, buy one properly specified for those activities.

It's weatherproof. You can hold it under the shower but you can't dip it inside the pool.

Water proof? Absolutely not. It is weather resistant which means it can withstand being rained upon. But if you dunk in water, it'll get damaged.

Pentax is the only DSLR that can withstand being heavily splashed on, or even dunked. At trade shows, it's common to see at the Pentax booth a Pentax DSLR weighed down at the bottom of a fish tank.
