I'm have an olypus camera and the options of lenses are a little limited. I was wondering is there were some sort of mount of something that can allow me to use a cannon or nikon lens on an Olympus body.

There are NO cannon lenses, just Canon lenses

And no, trying to mix one brand lens with another camera is usually problematic if not impossible

If you have a 4/3rds Olympus, buy other 4/3rds lenses made by Olympus, Panasonic or Leica

There are adapters out there, but you lose most of the automatic functions.

If your camera has a four-thirds or micro four-thirds mount then there may be an existing adaptor you can use. Take note that you will most probably lose all automatic functions.

Any time you use an adaptor (if you can find one) for one lens mount to use the lenses for another camera, you'll find the quality limited. You'll also find compromises as the lenses you covet weren't designed for the body, electronics, and mechanics of the camera body you have. If you seriously have or want lenses for a certain camera system, then my advice is to switch to that system.

Most serious photographers base their systems on the lenses they use, not the other way around.

Canon EF or Canon FD? I think the newish 4/3 mount has adaptors for most popular fittings. As long as the adaptor is purely mechanical i.e. There are no extra elements involved, then there will be no loss of quality although as all others point out, other functions are affected - no autofocus for a start and there also needs to be some way of controlling the diaphragm.
I don't think it would be possible to mount an Canon or Nikon on an Olympus OM fitting.
