Iphone or a new high tech camera?

For Christmas I can't decide if I should get the Iphone 4 or a new high tech camera such as a Nikon or Canon. I'm going off to college next year so I will be getting a laptop then. Is it worth it to invest in a phone with internet then if I will have a laptop next year? Or would replacing my old camera be a better investment. However, I'm not sure how much I would use my camera at college.

I need opinions! Maybe some feedback from people who have an Iphone and a laptop? Is it really that handy? Or from some people with a high tech camera? I'm not looking to go professional or anything with the camera, I just enjoy taking quality photos!

Iphones are great! But the only problem with them is they are slow when going on the internet if the isn't a local Wi-Fi. They are fun when you are bored and can help with any homework/school work. The only thing they don't allow is flash player. Which youcan get onto youtube but any games on facebook or game won't un because you will need flash player. Cloud browse allows flash player but it costs. The camera on the Iphone is good but it could be a lot better. The camera on the other hand us good but it can't do all the this an Iphone can, but it could help with college. It's totally your choice but I would recommend the Iphone 4.
