How to stop my nikon taking pictures automatically

ALondoner
So my Nikon recently decided to take pictures when it does that facial recognition thing. Is it something that I can change by just going on the settings or must I take it to be repaired?

You haven't read the manual yet I suppose. Turn off Smile Shutter.

There's a setting that allows the camera to take a photo when it recognizes a smile.
While I suppose it is a form of remote control, it is a cute gimmick that may or may not have a serous application.
But it can be turned off in the menu.
