How to shoot a video of myself with a not flip-out screen camera?
I own a nikon D7100 it's a nice camera but it does't have a flip out screen which is pretty annoying, i tried to connect it to a sony vaio laptop using HDMI but it didn't work i guess the laptop is kinda old so is there any software or anything that helps me view the cam on the laptop screen
This might work, or maybe not.

It doesn't list the D7100 or D5300 among the compatible models. I don't know whether that means it is incompatible or if they just haven't updated their list.
You can do what we did before video cameras were available which had articulated LCD screens
Mount a mirror next to the camera so you can see what the camera is seeing.
You will need to secure the mirror and aim it so that you see yourself in it. You will also need to look through the cameras viewfinder to see what part of the mirror matches what the viewfinder is seeing. Use a grease pencil to mark out the exact area that the camera/lens is seeing.
From that point on, you can make sure that you stay within those guidelines.
There are several alternatives. Read this.
