I want to purchase this camera from a Hong Kong based company. I live in the United States. I'm not sure if I will have to pay customs but if I do, how much?

Why not ask the company you ordered from? You know that the camera your ordered is considered "gray market" and will not have a US warranty, right?

It will probably equate to at least the money you think you are saving.

And good luck getting it repaired if it goes wrong - shipping it back to Hong Kong.

Ask the customs authorities in the USA. They are the only people who can give you a definite answer.

Never a good idea to try to bring in an expensive electronic item from another country - customs dues are likely to wipe out any saving, and then there might be problems with the guarantee. The whole deal will most likely cost you more than buying in your country.
