I don't know much about old cameras and am looking to sell it.
I'm not sure if it is in working condition because I do not have a battery or film for it. So I'm not quite sure how to check?
The outside is in pretty good condition

There are numerous Rollei 35 models. The most classic and desirable models, on which I'm going to base most of my answer feature a collapsible lens and look like the ones in the link below. First step is to identify exactly which model you're in possession of:

http://www.rolleiclub.com/cameras/35classic/info/all_models.shtml

Does your camera look like these or is it more like a modern, plastic point and shoot camera? If it's the later rather than the former, it has nearly no value. If it's the older one with the collapsible lens and metal construction, read on.

You also need to identify the lens type. Lenses with smaller maximum apertures and that are not Zeiss branded, are not as desirable as fast Zeiss lenses.

These are very high end cameras but they are quirky and unusual to see anyone using them. Therefore they aren't as valuable monetarily, or as quickly/easily sold as a Leica or a vintage Nikon for example, which can usually be put back into regular use easily.

These are also very complicated cameras that require maintenance from a specialist among specialists. Since all Rollei 35's are vintage cameras, many will be in need of some professional service.

The condition of the outside as you mention can play a role in cost but there are many other factors that are more important.

So given this information, monetary value can vary wildly. A seized up model made in Signapore instead of Germany with a non-Zeiss lens could sell for $20. A perfectly functional, mint cosmetic condition German made model with a good Zeiss lens, original packaging, etc can sell for thousands.

So this is the kind of range you're looking at given the small bit of information you've given. So it will be necessary for you to do some of your own research using the link above, going prices on eBay.com and your own ability of reading the instruction manual and testing the camera yourself.

This is a really neat little camera and I hope that my comments have been useful. If you can supply more information to your question, I may be able to get you a more narrowed down price point. Otherwise good luck and please remember to choose a Best Answer! $10? You buy a battery and film for it, and take some photos. If you get good images, then it works. In great shape - maybe $75 As Johnny Martyr says, it is a niche market for particular models of Rollei 35, and as with all niche markets, it depends who is out there at this moment with money to burn. That sort of market changes almost from week to week, certainly from year to year.
