How much can a 1gb SD memory card hold?

I have Nikon L20 Camera and i found out my memory card is 1gb how many pictures and videos can it hold? Its San Disk

Added (1). I looked at the video section in the camara and it says 10MM

1 GB = 1, 000 MB

if a picture is, say 3 MB (quite large) then 333 pictures.

if a picture is, say 1 MB (medium) then 1000 pictures.

if a picture is smaller, say 0.7 MB then 1428 pictures.

if you look at the display on the camera it usually tells you how many pictures you can take.

as for videos… Depends on the length.a typical 20 seconds video is perhaps ~ 10 MB so 100 videos or so.

Not all that many.SD cards aren't expensive - an 8GB card will cost you about 10 bucks. Buy one.

The Nikon L20 is a 10MP camera. For a 10MP camera they say that you can take around 286 pictures.

Video is a lot harder to estimate and I can't find any reliable source of information. It seems as though compression and resolution variables can cause big differences in time.
