How to set the self timer on my Nikon digital D6000 camera?
How do I set the self timer on my Nikon digital D6000 camera?
They probably buried it in the menu system. Read your manual.
Taking a wild guess and given S and D are next to each other, is it the S6000?
See link
Considering the fact that Nikon doesn't make a D6000, all I can suggest is that you check your manual. If you repost this with a current model number, we could help.
Revised, with your new info:
Turn the rotary mulit-selector to self-timer. (icon of clock hand sweeping in a circle)
Use the rotary mulit-selector to select 2 sec. Or 10 sec, then press OK.
Frame your picture an press the shutter button half way to set focus and exposure.
Press the shutter button the rest of the way down to start the timer.
The amount of time selected shows on the screen and the light in the front of the camera blinks.
Just before the picture is taken, the light changes to a steady glow.
If you can't find it, here's a copy of the S6000 manual.
