How to know which Nikon/Canon has better quality?

How do I know which one has better quality?
Should I look for a camera with higher megapixels?
or what should i be looking for to compare the quality?

Nikon and canon are two very good camera brands so whichever one you get it will be good

I mega pixel is 1 million pixels, pixels are what the photo is made out so if you had 15 mega pixel camera, the Photo would be made up of 15, million pixels. The more pixels in the photo the clearer the photo is. So a high mega pixel camera is always good.

also, cameras are also rated on how easy they are to use.eg.plug in to computer, battery, easy controls ect.

Leica, Hasselblad Nikon, Sony, Pentax, Canon blah blah blah all make great cameras.
