How to find out what the Maximum Aperture is on my camera lens?

MURF
This is all the info I have on the lens:
SUN ZOOM LENS FOR NIKON 85-300mm/1:5 MACRO
I want to know what number should come after the F/

Jim A
The specs are normally printed on the lens. If not there some documentation should have come with it.
Otherwise perhaps these folks can help.
