I bought a new version of Nikon that has 12.1 Mega Pix, wide 18x zoom, full HD, HDMI port, CMOS backside illumination, quick response, & is 3.1 LCD for $300 plus tax. It was originally $400 but with my rebate, it was $300. I save $100. This is "first time" of buying a camera & the camera seller told me that Nikon is good brand compare to Sony & Olympus. Is that true?

Actually I think the break down is. Olympus is the oldest. Nikon and cannon are what was considered professional for the longest. But don't rule out soney because of all the advancements and diverse technology they own. Personally I look for features that right for me and the price. You can all so go to stores like best buy and try the shelf demo models and compare right there.

Spend some time reading this. It will give you an idea of what is happening in the world of dSLR camera companies and where they seem to be going.

Yes! Absolutely as I'm also using Nikon digital slr camera, Nikon d90.It's good brand only if you know how to take good quality pictures. I love Nikon!
