I know about Canon

and Nikon cameras, But I found this "Pentax Digital Cameras" recently, I found the price quite cheap comparing to other cameras, Anybody knows about this brand? Is the quality low like their prices?

Pentax cameras are excellent and certainly not low quality. The Pentax company has been making cameras and other optical equipemtn for at least as long as Canon and Nikon. Its Takumar lenses have long been thought by many to be amongst the best there are. The Pentax K-x 'beginners' DSLR has won prizes. One great advantage of Pentax is that all its lenses fit all its bodies (35mm) for, although it was one of the last of the majors to adopt a bayonet mount as standard, older screw lenses can be used with an adapter (albeit that functions such as autofocus and TTL metering will be lost)

Pentax is a great company.

The only time you need a more expensive camera is for indoors (strong flash) or a strong zoom to take pictures from a distance.

The one feature that I like is a rechargeable battery pack. They last longer than AA or AAA and a spare battery pack is quite cheap.

I got a second camera for under $100 and love it!

Pentax is a brand easily recognized by the most experienced photographers. I don't know how the word cheap came in but if you check out the prices of their brandnew lenses, they certainly aren't. The K-x is cheap compared to mid-level models from other brands but more expensive compared to rock-bottom entry-level models from other brands. Quality? The best.
