Has anybody used this $150 DSLR rig before?
I can't find any reviews or feedback for this thing. And they're all over ebay! Anybody?
Nope but I have heard about them, they are more for stabilising video from your dslr. And really have no use for photography as your stabilisers and tripod do the work of this. For video, they will be good. Photography forget about it
From the photo it looks fairly nice. I would think it's primarily a video rig. I did a career in television news / sports photography - most of it on my shoulder. If I shot more video I'd probably buy one, but not this one.
The two major problems I see are no control for focus - as in a ring mount for your lens that can be controlled at say the right hand. Also there's no adapter for start / stop. If you use this rig you're going to be grabbing for the focus and start / stop all the time. If you do that the first few seconds on any clip will be very jumpy while you steady up after starting your video roll.
But then all of that explained in the price - very cheap.
