My brother wants to buy a good camera to shoot concerts but he isn't really experienced and can't afford anything above £450. Been told these are good but all in £1000/$1500 range.
Any good suggestions for a DSLR not a point and shoot.
Canon EOS 5D Mk II
Canon EOS Digital Rebel Xsi-Offers 12.2 megapixels, ultra-powerful zoom; up to ISO 1600 for steady shooting in any lighting conditions, and built-in image stabilization.
Olympus E-3-Takes five pictures per second and features an enhanced 11-point autofocus system, specifically designed to lock on to any subject regardless of how much it is moving around.
Sony DSLR-A700-Features superior zoom, Dynamic Range Optimization (DRO), which enhances detail in shadows to yield balanced photos, and built-in image stabilization.
Nikon D300-Offers excellent image quality, fast continuous shutter rate; takes 6 photos per second, powerful zoom, and high-resolution LCD for easy shooting at any angle.

The Pentax K30 is just within your price range. It gives you a lot of camera for your money, superb image quality, good low light/low noise performance, great build quality with weather proofing, image stabilisation built into the camera so every lens you fit, even a cheap, but good 40 year old K mount lens will be image stabilised, the best backwards compatibility of any camera, good ergonomics, easy to use.

A reliable UK supplier (usual disclaimer, just a satisfied customer, dealt with them for years over many transactions).

Search online. You will get many options as well as you can compare the price with various other shopkeepers. My uncle brother is a wedding photographer in Glasgow and he always do the same. He run his own business named Andy Watson Photography and has many cameras so he prefer to buy DSLR online.
