Good DSLR camera for £600?
I'm a graphic design student wanting to buy a DSLR Camera just before I graduate from University. Basically I was wondering what would be the best camera to buy with a budget of £600 (willing to go to £700 at max).
I'm willing to buy a camera from either of these brands, Sigma, Canon or Nikon.
I would delete Sigma from your list and add Pentax. I like Pentax because it can use lenses from previous Pentax cameras, even film models. But most important is that the stabilization feature is built in to the body of their cameras. Which means you don't have you don't have to pay for that feature each time you purchase a lens.
For £450 you can buy a second hand Canon 5D (the mkI version), for £200 you should be able to buy a decent second hand 28-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS USM, and for £50 a second hand 50mm f1.8 II. I recommend the 5D because it's a well built, well designed full frame camera, which grants you the freedom to create. The 5D is much better than any of the entry level junk for the same money.
I would go for the Nikon D5100, D7000 or Canon T3i or 60D
fyi, invest in a good lens, not a good camera… Like the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 or Canon 24-70mm f/2.8
