Nikon SLR Cameras

Good camera suggestions?

I have limited knowledge about digital cameras and I'm looking online for a good deal. I mainly want to photograph portraits. I'd like something that comes with a remote control, and adapter so I can plug it into a computer and see the image on the computer screen before I take it. I'd like to spend under $350. The camera I have now is a nikon and it leaves a strange blotchy texture on people's faces, both with flash and no flash. I've read the manual and I'm not sure if it's the quality, or I'm doing something wrong. I can remove the blotchy texture with photo editing programs, but I'd prefer to deal with a crisp picture to begin with. Any suggestions are appreciated!

You are going to have to up your budget by three times at least to get what you want. And even more than that if you want a good traditional portrait lens.

The only cameras you can tether are mid-level DSLRs. And the tethering software is going to cost you at least half your set budget.

Sounds like you may have the ISO set too high on your Nikon. Are you shooting indoors or outside?

Try to set the ISO lower (some cameras you can't though) and see if it gives you satisfactory results before plunking down a lot of money for a new camera.
