Would you buy a digital version of the Nikon f3 if they made one?
(the D3 doesn't count as it is a digital F5)

I don't understand your question…
Like if there was a film version of the D3? It's not the same, since the amazing ISO range on the D3s (102, 400) is in the sensor, while if it was a film camera, you would have to have super advanced film, with low-noise at 102, 400. Then THAT would be the 'holy grail' of comparing film vs digital.
