Will this gem mount hold my new telescope well?

I just bought the Orion Apex 127mm MAK. It will fit on my photo tripod, but I do want to do some astrophotography so would want an eq mount. The below eq tripod is in my budget range but it says a payload of 11 lbs excluding the counter weight. The telescope is 8.23 lbs and the camera I'll be using is the nikon d300.Is the mount going to hold everything okay? (This is my first telescope hence all the questions)

Added (1). Edit: It says it excludes the weight so does that mean its 11 pound payload doesn't include the weights so it'd be fine? Just unsure of their wording

The camera and counterweight together will be roughly 4 pounds, so you'll be a little over a pound beyond the payload rating. I honestly don't know tripods well enough to say that will or won't be a significant factor, but I would get something rated properly for my equipment just for warranty purposes.

"Payload" usually means the weight of telescope and camera, etc, The counterweight doesn't count in this. I've never used an iOptron mount myself, but this one looks solid, and it should carry your telescope and camera without a problem. When I had an Apex 127, I used it on a number of mounts. The only photography (solar) I ever did with it was actually on a much smaller mount than this, an Orion SkyView Deluxe, which is smaller than their current SkyView Pro.
