Super wide angle lens for my camera?

I'm a newbie photographer.
I've been using the Nikon D800 for making short films, but recently I felt that I didn't have a wide enough lens. So, I'm now hunting for a super wide angle lens that will hopefully fit my budget.
I definitely do not want to spend too much on a single lens for a very subtle or almost unnoticeable advantage. The less expensive, the better.

Your question is very vague
"hopefully fit my budget"
"The less expensive, the better"
So how much do you want to spend? I assume that having spent $2000+ on a camera then a similar amount for a lens?
" I didn't have a wide enough lens"
So what is the widest you have?
What about the Nikkor 14-24

The Nkkor 14 mm, 20 mm and 24 mm lenses used on a D800 will do what you want, however, most DP's choose the lenses they used based upon what the screen play calls out in each scene.
