Nikon d3000 not working?

My Nikon d3000 is not working, it will not turn on at all. I know it is not the battery because I have two and I tried both. Last night I had a beer in my bag and it exploded all over everything, soaking my camera. (I regret not having my camera in a separate case in my bag)
Is there anything I can do? This camera is very important to me so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Added (1). Yeah you're right, after looking at prices of used d3000 bodies I'm not as worried. Thanks for the help. I will actually look into the possibility of upgrading to a better model, d300 perhaps. (and buy a smaller case for it right away so it can fit into my backpack) I will try to use this as a blessing in disguise.

Without professional help there's nothing you can do. Of course you understand your mistake and that won't happen to you again. But, professional help is the only way.

However keep in mind that repair bills can be very high and it may be just as well to replace the camera - and if the lens was ruined.

Sorry about that but - live and learn I guess.
