Nikon D200 Help! Indoor low light?

Brendan C
Brendan C

I'm suppose to shoot for a local indoor skatepark in a couple weeks.
They have mid lighting, about as bright as a walmart maybe a little darker.

I have two lenses a 18-200mm with f/3.5-5.6
and a 18mm that is a f/2.8

I really would love to use the 18-200 if possible, what would the best settings be to use?
Please remember there will be fast moving skateboarders and i would like as crisp of an image as possible.

I can bring in a floodlight or two to let some light in for the shoot if needed. It is a vert ramp we will be shooting [half pipe]

Use your flash, there should be enough background light to keep it visible. The flash will stop your skaters dead in their tracks. Get down there soon and take some trial photos just to get a feel for it, search flickr for similar photos just to get an idea

Shoot in shutter priority. Set shutter speed to whatever you desire 1/250th? And Jack up the ISO to 1600 or so.
