Nikkor AF-S 50mm f 1.4g vs Nikkor AF-S 50mm f 1.4d?

I'm so confused on which one to buy. I just purchased the Nikon D7000.
I read somewhere that the G lens is newer than the D lens but the D lens will be fine with the D7000.
Is the quality the same? Which should I get?

The Nikkor AF-S 50mm f 1.4d is actually a AF lens. That means that it does not have the ultra-fast auto-focus system on it, so in general, the AF-S 50 mm f/1.4g will produce faster auto-focus than the AF 50 mm f/1.4d.
Other than that, both are fine lenses
Nice camera by the way

Yes, the G lens is newer but doesn't have the aperture ring. The D lens is all right to use on the D7000.
