Lensbaby Fisheye Optic for Nikon d300?

I just got my new Lensbaby Scout with the fisheye optic for my Nikon d300. However, when I try to zoom in, the image is blurry. Are the lens not inserted correctly? Also, the screen keeps telling me "lens not attached". I can only take a picture when I use the manual setting.

Those do not have electrical components that communicate with the camera body, so of course you have to use the manual setting on your camera. You really need to read the instructions that came with the lens concerning manual focus… The lens will not auto focus like a regular lens.

Yes, you can only use this nice $300 toy lens in the manual mode.

I would have though you would have looked on the page that discussed Non-CPU lenses before connecting it to your camera pages 196 and 197.

Do that and see how it goes.
