I need to buy some lenses for my Nikon D100 Any suggestions?

I read Nikon F mount lenses will work. I search and come up with Ai, LD, G… I don't know how to interpret those and which ones will work with my camera. I would Like a fast zoom lens preferably up to 300mm or more. Any help

The most economical camera would be a good used Nikkor AF 70-300 mm, not fast but good enough to shoot wildlife and airshows.

The one I use is the prime AF-S 300 mm f/2.8, if fast is your goal

The only "fast" zoom with 300 mm in its range is the 200-400 mm f/4

Pick the one that best fits your needs and budget
