Hi, i clicked alot of pix today. For work… On my boss' cam… And then i connected the cam to the pc… I tried to delete a few blurry pix at once… And all the pix got deleted… The cam even had sum personal pix of my boss n she's gonna get crazy if i don't get the pix back…
I've tried to recover it, but i dunno where to recover it from… C drive or from the cam directly (this is nikon d700 and when connected to the pc, it doesn't show any drive name, it only shows n icon of a cam and the name d700… Which is makin it difficult to recover the pix directly from the cam, so right now i'm tryin to recover it from the c drive. Where the deleted files may have been stored sumwhere!
My question is… Will those pix still be there on the memory card… (its a big card n won't fit in my mem card reader).is it possible to recover it from the memory card directly? Tho i deleted the pix on the memory card… Thru my pc (shift del)… Please Help… Really need it.

It appears to me that you made some mistakes along the way.

First, never delete photos from a memory card in either the computer or in the camera.Us format in the camera to clean the card, not the delete.

When viewing photos from the memory card, as it appears you did, again do not delete them here.
Upload everything then delete from the hard drive. Once you know all the photos are safe then
format the card to clean it.

Have you checked the computer's trash can? If anything was deleted from the hard drive it should show up there. Simply do a restore to put them back in the original folder / file.

The only way to check the card, sounds like a CF to me (too large) is to get a CF usb card reader
and load that. Then you'll be able to see exactly what's on the card. If the photos are there
copy / paste to a folder on the hard drive, then view and delete what you don't want.

I can't stress this highly enough, do not use the delete function on either the computer or camera to take photos off the memory card - always format once you know the photos are safe.

Good Luck. Oh, by the way, card readers aren't expensive and are available where ever cameras are sold.

If you delete anything from a memory card, it will not go to the recycle bin.
Best bet is to use some Data recovery software (such as "Stellar Data Recovery") If you find hard enough you will find a free version to get the job done.

DO NOT TAKE ANY MORE PICTURES TO THE MEMORY CARD(THE ONE YOU DELETED) Until YOU RECOVER THEM.

Answer-er 2 had it right, don't take anymore pictures on that card. Jim just danced around it.

There are many recovery programs, I've not had to use it often (once), but SanDisk's Rescue Pro, is one.

Just type "photo recovery software, free" into Google, there are lots of them. And you will probably need a "card reader", if the slots on your computer don't fit.
