How to get the back lcd to come on, on a Nikon D200?

I purchased a used nikon D200 from goodwill
And can't figure out how to get the back lcd to come on. It has a lense and a flash attached to it but no mamory card.

I would say you can't. That's only for "live view" cameras that you can use the screen as a view finder.
and that's usually only for very small, very cheap cameras.
Guess you'll have to learn to use the view finder.

The D200 was built before the advent of live view. There should be a button on the back of the camera that looks like a > play button. This will bring up the photo review. But without a memory card, this button will have no function.
Also, when you select the MENU button, it will bring up a menu selection.
If neither of these happen, you bought a busted camera.
You can download a manual from the service and support/download section of www.nikonusa.com
