Is there some sort of Vari-Angle LCD monitor attachment that I can get for my DSLR camera?
I have a DSLR Nikon D3100. The monitor does not flip out or up and down, and i was wondering if there's some type of Vari-Angle monitor attachment thing i could get for my camera, so I would be able to take pictures or film videos in front of the camera with me actually being able to see myself in the monitor.
The only thing I know of is mounted to a rig that becomes a shoulder mount for video. It apparently uses the hdmi output to feed a larger screen. Otherwise no.
You could improvise by putting a mirror behind the camera.
HDMI possibly but with a lot of fiddling around. You need a Nikon D5***.
Try a mirror arrangement as suggested.
This is a common disappointment for people who buy DSLRs without an articulating LCD. Whilst pros don't traditionally need them, they greatly enhance the DSLR-using expereince.
I don't know of a cheap solution. You can get a wireless viewfinder like this:

On-camera monitors are common.
