Firing Strobes remotely from Nikon D200?

Truth

Can't afford Pocket Wizard? I want to fire a Norman 400B and a Sunpak 500. Suggestions as to Cowboy Studio trans/rec or other brands?

I would check out the paul C buff (alien bees) cybersyncs a lot cheaper than pocket wizards but super reliable and well made plus their customer service rocks. I've used mine out in freezing cold weather (literally below freezing) at distances of at least 100ft with no problems. Personally I don't think it worth going super cheap if you want some serious performance and reliability. For any cables and such you might need check out flashzebra.com, best site for all random flash related stuff.

According to;

the Norman 400B has a trigger voltage around 10V - can't find a figure for the Sunpak.

Some triggers don't like high voltages (above 10V) same as digital cameras.

I use RF602's and find them very reliable (£25 for a set) - use them on a D300 with Yongnuo/Nikon speedlights. They'll be fine up to 10V or so.
