Can the nikon d300 take SD card storage?
From what I can tell it can only take compact flash only
Added (1). In that case where the hell is it? I can't find the slot for it
From the Nikon website.
Storage Media
CompactFlash© (Type I/II, compliant with UDMA)
SD
SDHC
Card Slot
1 CompactFlash© card and 1 Secure Digital (SD) card
According to the manual, It does NOT use SDHC memory cards… Http://www.nikonusa.com/pdf/manuals/dslr/D300_en.pdf (page 409)… Media: Type I and II CompactFlash memory cards (UDMA compliant); microdrives.
Microdrives are NOT SD/SDHC. They are unreliable mini hard drives that are prone to failure that fit into the CF slot
My Canon takes both CF and SDHC cards and the slots are right next to each other.
No. An SD slot was introduced on the D300s.
The D300 is a serious camera, not at all suited for beginners, might wanna exchange it.
