Can i take the Nikon D800 under water?
I looked up the nikon d800 and saw it was water resistant does that mean i can take it under water
Added (1). Thank you lol before i made a big mistake i was just making sure
No, it means it won't worry if it gets rained on.
If you want to use it underwater, you'll have to buy a housing (not exactly cheap).
Absolutely NOT. Water resistant is just for a little splash, nothing like water proof. You can get water proof cameras that are made for underwater, but you absolutely must not take anything that is just water resistant underwater. It will ruin it
Resistant means that it has a lesser chance of getting water damage if you take it out in mist, a light drizzle, or the like
no DSLR is waterproof, and for that, you would have to get a housing which will cost over $2000 for that camera
