Britek HS-1000 won't work with Nikon D100 and D50?
I just a bought a set of Britek light strobes and sometimes they will work with my D50 and D100. I'm using a wireless trigger (Microsync) which works perfectly when I press the test button on the microsync. In both cameras, the strobe works sometimes and sometimes not, for no apparent reason, I have tried manual, auto mode, with cords, wireless…
Even the strobe won't work when I press the test button on the actual strobe… Weird.
Please help me if you have any idea… I read someone having the same problem with a D50 and a different Britek strobe. Thanks!
Added (1). FIXED! I found out that Nikon has a lot of hotshoe problems… Anyway, I scraped the metal contacts on the hotshoe very lightly with a pocket knife and voilá! It works perfect now…
In my case it seems like it was a bad connection problem.
Congratulations on figuring out the problem and fixing it. I will personally file this solution away for future reference.
