Bought a Polaroid Flash for a Nikon D100? How can I connect it and make it work?
I Have a nikonD100 SLR, I bought a Polaroid Pro Slave Flash. I put the batteries inside the flash and mounted it to the camera, but the flash doesn't work and was wondering if it was the flash or do i need to do something on the camera menu to make the flash work on my camara?
Added (1). This is the flash i bought

Does the Polaroid flash have a standard ISO hot shoe connection?
You may have wanted to ask the seller of the flash if it is adaptable to standard hot shoes like Nikon, Canon, Pentax and others before buying
All you can do now is take your camera and flash into a proper camera store and have them help you figure it all out.
This is but one reason I buy accessories for my Nikon or other cameras that were specifically designed for the brand and NOT based upon price
This is a slave flash and is activated by the built-in flash of the D100 camera body. It's not designed to work mounted directly on the camera.
Check the directions in the box and in your D100 manual.
Indeed do your homework before buying accessories. Try to get your money back, then go to a shop and see a good flash actually working on your camera, then buy it.
