Any downsides to the Nikon D300?

I want to upgrade from the D200, is there anything else I should consider?

Added (1). Thanks Jeroen, the D300 specs say it is full frame, are you saying it isn't?

The D300 is not a full frame camera. The D7000 does beat the D300, but personally, if I were you, I would wait a little longer, there may be more news about the next generation of Nikon cameras (such as the D800 to replace the D700, and D400 do replace the D300s, D4/x/s, etc)

The D300 is not full frame. Downside? It's a 2007 camera, 4 years old. In Nikon terms, that's a granny.

D700 if you feel you need full frame. D7000 if you need stunning high iso and can live with a smaller body without so much AF power and weather sealing.

As the others say, a D300 is NOT full frame. It's a powerhouse of a camera but it's complicated. Took me a month to get the hang of it. When the D7000 was just released I had a chat with a guy I met, we'd taken almost the same shot. ( I think it was) and hist, at iso 2000, looked cleaner than mine did at 1600. On the other hand, I have less to fear from snow and rain than he did.

When the D400 (or whatever Nikon is going to call it) is finally released I don't expect much exterior changes, I do expect a faster processor leading to an even better AF system and I expect the higher iso and dynamic range to be more in line with the current crop of cameras.
