Yongnuo YN-560 II Speedlight Flash compatible with Nikon D5100?
Is the Yongnuo YN-560 II Speedlight Flash compatible with my nikon d5100? Or will i need an extra accessory?
That flash is a manual flash, so you will have to manually set the proper lens aperture based upon how far you are from the subject.
You may want to look at one of the Yongnuo iTTL flashes.
However, it will not work with the Commander Mode on your camera
This one may do the trick
If you want TTL function, then make sure you buy one with a Nikon "foot". That's the one that says "for Nikon".
If it's a generic flash (only one or two electrical contacts under the mount), you can still use it in Auto or Manual mode and the camera in Manual mode.
