Will this lens aurofocus and work perfectly on the D7000?

I was gonna upgrade from the Nikon D3100 to D7000. I have the Tamron 70-300 VC. Will this lens aurofocus and work perfectly on the D7000?

Both are DX cameras of single frame sensor format, thus any lens that works on one will work on the other. The Tamron too. In fact, this Tamron covers Full Frame so it can also work on 35mm and FX Nikons such as the D3, D4, D700, D800 series.

It will work, but it is a Tamron, so work "perfectly" I'm not so sure.
Why not upgrade your lens rather than upgrading the camera? You would have better results.
