Will nikon d40 lens work on a D3000 nikon camera body?

I found a site called B&Hphotovideo.com which has great deals on camera equipment and camera accessories. I was looking at the D3000 by nikon for between 450 to 600 just for a refurbished camera body no lens.

I was wondering would my Nikon and tamaro lens work on the d3000 body if they are AF lens?

Any lens that you can use with the D40 will perfectly fit with the D3000. Remember D3000 has no focusing motor just like the D40 so it can only auto focus AF-S lenses.
